I don't know if WAPF or NN specifies a " proper amount " , but I'm

curious what the physiology texts say.

I've been having 2-4 BMs per day, I suspect mainly because I've been

eating way too many grain foods of late. My gut feeling, pun very much

intended, is that 2 BMs/day, soft and easily passed, is the proper amount.

As soon as I began supplementing iodine, this is the schedule my body

went with.

Any idea why that would be?

Iodoral. But be warned, I experienced some considerable and

unpleasant bromide/flouride detox reactions at first.

Very foggy head, speeding heart, frontal headache.

I didn't realize the iodine was provoking it

until later. If one just backs off the iodine dose, it stops.

If you are interested, check out the Y! iodine list and read

through their extensive files:

What I meant to ask is why the iodine would be expected to affect your

regularity.

Allyn,

I don't know for *certain* that it was flouride/bromide detox, but

those were the symptoms I had and I stopped the Iodoral, then read

about the detox symptoms and they matched. So I started the Iodoral

again, this time at a much lower dose and worked my way back up to

four/day. No problems.

Hopefully you won't have any of that inconvenience. I saw

improvements immediately. My body temp seemed to go up and I had more

" drive " , for lack of a better description. I haven't taken my temp

because the thermometer broke, but I'm not cold anymore and thepeople

I touch comment on the difference.

What I meant is that it wasn't expected. Just seems cause-and-effect

because of the timing. I haven't read anybody else mention it.

Was just practicing my magical thinking for your amusement.

I have been reading up on iodine deficiency and I have read that it will

help with constipation and regularity. Go figure!

Thanks for your response. After asking you the questions I did find that on

the web regarding fluoride/bromine detox so I guess I will watch for it when

I get it and I guess start slowly like

Everything else.

Thanks again,

, sorry if I missed this, but what dose are you taking? My extremeties

are still cold often at 12.5 mgs daily and 1.5 grains of Armour. But I do

have much more energy now. And I'm sure the dosing is an individual thing,

but interested in what you're taking. I also don't exercise as much as you

do currently so I'm sure that my metabolism is slower than it should be.

Suze,

I take 2 or 3 or 4 a day. Usually four. four x 12.5 per tab = 50 mg.

(I know you can add but I'm just clarifying for everyone.)

This is what the instructions say that come with the loading

test--which I never took--to take two in the morning and two in the

afternoon for several months. So I figured it is a safe dose if they

say that to everyone. OTOH one can get symptoms of " iodism " from too

high a dose, and if so, just stopping the iodine will take care of it,

then increase it again to a comfortable level.

I just take all four at once because I'm too distractable and on the

road, etc. to deal with an afternoon dose at this time.

Anyone trying it out, my suggestion is to take one tab daily for a

week, then, if comfortable with that, add another tab for a week, etc.

until four tabs. If you are very sensitive, the tabs can be split in

teo, taken every-other-day, etc.

And best to take a loading test, first:
