the change in diagnosis came about after i was taken to the hospital

via ambulance and 4 days later my dr had never even come in to see me

only ordered massive doses of prednisone on oxygen (i can do from

home thank you very much)............i changed dr's and my new dr

popped my cat scan film up there and said " who the hell told you that

you had IPF?? " she said there was minimal scarring and way more

concerned with the clusters of langerhans cells throughout my lung

cavities. she immediately started weaning me off of the prednisone

and stopped the gamma interferon injections. she ordered a new CT to

verify what she was seeing and then set me up with an oncologist at

Texas Children who specializes in LCH. (the reason for the pediatric

oncologist is that his disease is very rarely seen in adults) i've

been with them ever since.
