Is there a website I can go to to see cpt codes and a fee schedule for

WC in California? Another question I have is, we have a pool that

some WC clients use for independent exercise. We want to bill for

this service, much like WC paying for a gym. How are people charging

for this service?

Official Medical Fee Schedule (OMFS) 1999 to present

The Official Medical Fee Schedule (OMFS) is promulgated by the DWC

administrative director under Labor Code section 5307.1 and can be found

in sections 9789 et seq. of Title 8, California Code of Regulations. It

is used for payment of medical services required to treat work related

injuries and illnesses.

Some additional perspective about CA WC:

Interesting report about the impact of the WC reforms from the CA

Medical Association:

http://www.cmanet.org/upload/cma_workers_comp_report_102705.pdf

The Utilization & Cost of Physical Therapy and Chiropractic

Manipulation in California Workers' Comp

Following Implementation of Mandatory UR and 24-Visit Caps

http://www.cwci.org/pdfs/ICISSAYS15part2.pdf

(OT is seeing the same impact, though there is no specific data

avaiable from CWCI about the impact of the reforms on payment for OT)
