Guest guest
Hi, Topper, Hmmm... Okay, so this could just be part of the system getting back to a semblance of " normal " again. I can deal with that. My husband is at home right now and he is a " warm " sleeper, so I know that part of the " overheating " thing is because he is warmer than I am any time of day (not affection-wise, just temperature-wise). The A/C is still in use down here in the desert, so the house is between 78 and 80 all day/all night. Tonight is one awful night. Normally, I can sleep for six to seven hours and awaken feeling pretty good. That has been true since starting Armour in 1999. Tonight, however, I was wide awake at 12:30. I was tired at 9:30 so I went to bed and slept quite well until I awoke (unknown reason). I was too warm, so took off the heavier blanket and was still too warm under the light blanket. Maybe I am catching a cold or something.... I hate it when I cannot sleep! I subscribed to one of the Lymphedema groups you mentioned and will be doing some research on that before I get into too much trouble out here. My doctor does know what it is and understands what is needed. I just do not want to deal with the PT locally, as they have a reputation for being quite obtuse. I have neither the time nor the patience to educate them. I think I have been helping myself a bit without knowing it. I wear " leggings " made of stretch denim and the lower legs are sort of encased in this stretchy stuff. When I do not wear them, the swelling in my lower legs is much worse. My own theory on how I ended up like this is the number of surgeries done on the abdomen and the addition of the immune disorders. When anything gets out of whack, the edema is worse. When things are pretty much under control, there is less swelling. Make sense? Dianne At 05:26 AM 10/3/04, you wrote: >Dianne, I have the same morning heat thing... Guest guest
Might be... I had a warm night last night too... I grabbed my mister bottle... I bet your hubby wouldnt' like that though... I just point straight up and let the mist settle back down on me.... Umm, ahhhhh, I dont' wear jammies.... so the mist hits skin.... as the mist evaporates it cools me off... without my body having to make that much sweat (which is actually work for the body).. I did that for a while.. then did my lymph massage and then went back to sleep and slept quite well for another three hours... and got up at my regular time feeling fine... Interesting about your leggings.. I find it fascinating when it turns out that we were doing something for ourselves that ends up being just what our bodies needed us to do.... and we didn't know it... Like me and the soy nuts when I was going into storm.... I popped them like popcorn... I hope that you find the gang in the lymph group as informative as I have... they are both fun and friendly groups.... Topper () On Wed, 06 Oct 2004 02:42:27 -0700 Dianne writes: Hi, Topper, Hmmm...
