I do my own cooking because I'm a better cook. <g, but if she cooks I only

eat what I need to. She takes no responsibility for my condition. But that

would be fine with me if she did. OK, OK, I take back part of what I said.

She said she would make a black eyed pea casserole for new years with no

white rice for me and one with rice for her. I tend to stereotype.

Re: Please help/Vicki's husband

Hi!

I read somewhere that husband's depend on their wives to help them with

their diabetes. I mean it's a partnership, why shouldn't the wife become

involved? I am. I'm also the cook of the house and it's up to me to make

sure I am cooking the right foods for my husband. I also pack his lunches

and make sure they are balanced nutrionally. Now when he goes on short

jaunts on his second job, then of course it's his responsibility to make

sure he is getting the proper nutrion and taking care of his diabetes

which

he does.

Just my opinion. :)
