Guest guest
Well said Ronda. When I was first diagnosed I did relaxation and visualization techniques and everyone looked at me like I was nuts. Well it sure seems to have helped. I have over 200 books on breast cancer, cancer and positive thinking. Its funny now how they are discovering that things like prayer, visualization etc DO work. Hugs nne Breast Cancer Patients Soul Mates for Lifehttp://www.geocities.com/chucky5741/breastcancerpatients.html Check out my breast cancer ornaments at:http://www.geocities.com/chucky5741/bcornament.htmlalso check out my other ornaments and lots of nice gifts at:http://www.cancerclub.com Re: All in Different ways Patty: You can't concentrate so much on dying instead concentrate on winning this fight. I have stage IV breast cancer which has spread to my bones and I am only 37 yrs. old. I was a minister before becoming so ill that I just couldn't keep up with my responsibilities. Yes, if I am honest it is very scaring thinking about dying but I rather think about living and fighting this terrible monster and one day I hope they will be able to find a cure for Breast Cancer so no one younger or older than I will ever have to fight this terrible monster again, whether it will happen before I or anyone else here in this group dies we do not know but I pray so. Looking at numbers is all right but I think of nne and many others in this group that have lived for many years. Before anyone says anything yes I understand that some of these ladies don't have stage IV but some do and they made it for MANY years I strongly feel it is the mind set you have if you are positive you will go many years if you are negative all the time you may not live as long. I would encourage you to do a couple things (ok this is the Minster part of me coming out I am sorry if I offend anyone) keep close to God or whatever you believe in. Secondly, keep a positive attitude and you will be just fine. Lastly, find a good friend you can talk to about your fears who you can share your tears and laugher with and do that find someone you trust. And talk here we don't know all the answers even though we are going through the same feeling and fears but as a group of friends and I believe a family we can uplift each other and help each other through the down times as well as the up times. You are in my thoughts and prayers! Hugs, Ronda

Guest guest
You bet you can. But as for me after being on the board for 5 years I don't believe in statistics or odds. I believe it is Gods call. My sister was concerned when I drove to Des Moine to meet my friends for the race. It was after 9-11 and she said they have a nuclear plant their. I told her Kim if the lord is ready to take me it doesn't matter where I am. This is what I believe. Thank you. This is very nice indeed. I am wondering, are we allowed to talk abouit the D word? Death, dead? Can we discuss that here in terms of statistics, the odds for each of us etc? Patty
