Sure....if you look thru the messages,,,,,,,there is a message here recently about just that......maybe someone still has the site......

From what Ive noticed.....everything has been talked about...

-- Re: All in Different ways

Thank you. This is very nice indeed. I am wondering, are we allowed to talk abouit the D word? Death, dead? Can we discuss that here in terms of statistics, the odds for each of us etc?

Patty

All in Different ways

We all show fear in different ways......some cry and retreat...some are stoic and never say anything. Some show fear in a different way......like being silly or trying to be funny. Some just retreat from the human race.

Alone and still fearful and some are whiners, never letting up.

Does this make that person less fearful? I think not. Never the less, it is still fear of something.

Should we as people think this person is NOT afraid, and treat them differently? Perhaps shun them because they are not meeting our sense of fear? Perhaps thinking our fear is greater?

All of us are in the same boat, regardless of our fear or how big we think our fear is.

There but for the Grace of GOD, go I.

Patty,

We discuss our "odds" of survival on occasion. If it bothers someone they can just go on to the next post.

Thanks

I saw the surgeon on Mon and I am defintly stage 3 and possibly stage 4. We wont know until further testing. It just seems, from what I have read that there is a huge difference in how many survive between stage 3 and stage 4. Is that correct?

Patty:

You can't concentrate so much on dying instead concentrate on winning this fight. I have stage IV breast cancer which has spread to my bones and I am only 37 yrs. old. I was a minister before becoming so ill that I just couldn't keep up with my responsibilities. Yes, if I am honest it is very scaring thinking about dying but I rather think about living and fighting this terrible monster and one day I hope they will be able to find a cure for Breast Cancer so no one younger or older than I will ever have to fight this terrible monster again, whether it will happen before I or anyone else here in this group dies we do not know but I pray so. Looking at numbers is all right but I think of nne and many others in this group that have lived for many years. Before anyone says anything yes I understand that some of these ladies don't have stage IV but some do and they made it for MANY years I strongly feel it is the mind set you have if you are positive you will go many years if you are negative all the time you may not live as long.

I would encourage you to do a couple things (ok this is the Minster part of me coming out I am sorry if I offend anyone) keep close to God or whatever you believe in. Secondly, keep a positive attitude and you will be just fine. Lastly, find a good friend you can talk to about your fears who you can share your tears and laugher with and do that find someone you trust. And talk here we don't know all the answers even though we are going through the same feeling and fears but as a group of friends and I believe a family we can uplift each other and help each other through the down times as well as the up times.

You are in my thoughts and prayers!

Hugs,

Ronda
