What are the symptoms of alzheimers? My mom will be 71 years old next week, and

is in pretty good health. She takes medication for high blood pressure, and

takes a baby aspirin daily. Otherwise, she is on no meds. I've been noticing

there are days that she seems to be confused, and she has the attitude or

actions of one who is helpless. Is there something that I can give her to stave

off alzheimers, if this is in fact is what is happening. I thought that I had

read somewhere that alzheimers was due to a deficiency.

There is interesting information on alzheimers and curcumin which is found in

turmeric. I first heard about it on Dr. Hoffmans radio show, " Health

Talk " . It seems that it may break up the alzheimers plaque in the brain and may

explain why there is less alzheimers in India and cultures that use alot of

tumeric.
