I make a big pot of soup once a week and work off it...I get receipes from

the CarbSmart Lowcarb Recipe Exchange (link on bottom of this post)...I have

roll-ups using lowcarb tortilla with various fillings such as roast beef and

cheese, pastrami, tuna salad, egg salad, bacon and avocado, etc. (If you

didn't want to use the tortillas you could roll up fillings in a lettuce leaf

or just roll up the filling in a slice of deli meat) I usually have a dill

pickle with it...maybe a few pork rinds...half a lowcarb Ross chocolate bar.

Another healthy lowcarb alternative would be a can of sardines and a few

Wasa crackers or Bran-A-Crisps...

For lunch today I had a huge salad with lettuce, black olives, sunflower

seeds, bell pepper, mushrooms, turkey and ham chunks.

I think it's www.CarbSmart.com

That's the URL...then click on " recipe exchange " .

It should be in the links at the bottom of this page if I'm not right. Vicki

Yesterday I took a chicken breast and sprinkled a little (1t) of peanut

oil on it and then a bit of garlic powder and fresh lemon juice. I baked

it for about 40 min…..then cut it up and ate it with ½ or a pear….

Hello and Welcome to our group! I'm glad to hear that you have been so

successful in bringing your Diabetes under better control. Your HBA1c

numbers sound similar to mine. I am hoping for under 7 on my next one.

I'm looking to get it as close to a 5 as I can.

I'm a T2 taking Glucophage and using Insulin. Was doing pretty well with

D & E (Diet & Exercise) until surgery this year threw me a major curve.

Things are looking better than they have for some time.

I see from your post that A Ahmed is how you " sign " your e-mail. How may

we refer to you? Watch out for that VM, he may soon bore you to

tears with his wonderful sense of humor, great stories and general

niceness! Sheesh! What a guy!

Rick
