Sheri and Lara,

I agree with you both. I am 31 and just had a fibroid and a polyp removed

through hysteroscopic mymectomy. I have had two miscarriages that were

probably caused by one or both of these. My goal at the moment is to at

least have one healthy child, and have no more miscarriages. It is not like

I want the fibroid to grow back, but I have to think realistically. It

probably will grow back eventually. I just hope I have enough window of

opportunity to succeed at having at least one healthy pregnancy. Until I

became pregnant my fibroid never bothered me. I wish I hadn't had to go

through the miscarriages in order to find out about the fibroid, but I figure

it was God's way of telling me something was there and it needed to be

removed. I know there has to be some success stories out there. My doctor

assures me it will grow back, but hopefull not for another 10 or fifteen

years. By then I hope to have my family. Good luck to you both.

I had a myo in my early 30's and even though at 47 I

am having regrowth I would still recommend it. That

was a 12 yr window to have more children. I didn't

have more children but that was my choice. Listening

to everyone's stories here I am struck by how lucky I

was to have found a GYN that did a myo as a first

choice. I went in to have a D & C and because of the

fibroids he found he did a myo. When I woke up they

told me they did a myo insted of a D & C I had no idea

of the implications. Agnes

Dana,

I'm 33 and like you, I did not know I had fibroids until I became pregnant

with twins. I recently miscarried due to the size & location of the biggest

fibroid. I know this is not the place, but I was wondering if you have found

any support groups on the net to talk about miscarriages. I have family and

friends to talk to but they don't know exactly what I'm going through. P.S.

I'm scheduled to have the fibroids removed June 4th. How is your recovery

coming along?

Take care..
