Sounds like you would do well to check out some digestive enzymes as well as

a few herbs to heal the lining of the GI tract.

Good digestive enzymes are not high in bromilain or papian. Both work in the

more alkaline environment of the small intestine, not the high acid

conditions of the stomach where you really need the help. You want digestive

enzymes high in Lipase, Protease and Amylase.

Slippery Elm, Aloe Vera, Papaya leaf all help heal the lining of the

intestine.

Bone broth, lots of bone broth as in before each meal might calm things

down.

Another good addition to one's regime when challenged with IBS is coconut

kefir. This encourages the growth of beneficial flora. Attached is the

recipe.

I'm pretty certain I don't have candida overgrowth...or are you saying

that someone on that group might have some suggestions for me?

Unfortunately my nursing toddler is intolerant to coconut (as well as

to dairy) :(

Two books with comprehensive solutions:

Body Ecology Diet

Maker's Diet

They both say about the same things but Maker's Diet uses more animal

protein than Body Ecology.
