Guest guest
My cancer is invasive ductal cancer. There is no tumor as the cancer has completely gone outside of any wall that might have been there. In my heart, I think that alternative methods would be the best. In the reality, I don't think I have the strength in this situation to go totally alternative although I certainly will be incorporating them. I am told that the recommended start in this type of situation would be with chemo to try to reduce the size of the cancer. I will probably do this. I did call MD here in the Houston area which is a major premier hospital that people travel from around the world to get to. We will see what tomorrow will bring!:>) Patty

Guest guest
Patty, That is exactly the cancer I have. I did still have a tumor present, as well as invading the rest of the tissue. In addition, my nipple was involved (could tell because it was inverted). You still have treatment options. I had a lumpectomy, which actually took off the whole end of my breast, including the nipple. If in your gut you are not sure about the recommended treatment, get a second opinion. I just did and feel much better about it. Lynn > My cancer is invasive ductal cancer. There is no tumor as the cancer has > completely gone outside of any wall that might have been there.
