I'm still not quite sure why you feel you need to be in such tight

control before pregnancy. During pregnancy, regardless of how well

you were able to control the diabetes before, you will need insulin

to keep it under control during the pregnancy.

I was diagnosed with diabetes before my last pregnancy and never got

it under control at all until I was actually pregnant and then had to

use insulin to keep it under control. I delivered a healthy 8.6

pound baby boy who will be 4 years old next month. Roxanne
