Guest guest
I love storms, too. I don't think sitting on the porch is a great idea but I love watching them and the sounds. I don't appreciate the power outages. I'm so glad the tornados took a different path. I was watching that yesturday and thinking of all you wet Floridians. Guest guest
, I am sorry you didn't make it to Chat. too. My goodness you have been tried and tested quite a bit. If I may say " Praise Him anyway.. " There is a reason for ALL things. I am praying you are Blessed with a wonderful replacement for your car.. my heavens all this is unbelievable. Stay in touch. I'll be worried about you. Love and Prayers, Peggy ipf 6/04 Florida " Worry looks around, Sorry looks back, Faith looks up. " Hi Everyone, I just caught up on the posts I have been in Arkansas visiting my parents who spend the months of April and October there. They do not know that I am sick . They are in their 80's and it would stress them out, so as long as I can I will hold off.It was awesome just sitting around doing nothing . I had such an awful cold thank goodness it didn't turn into pneumonia like last year. I feel so much better just a little tired now .I am still mad that I couldn't go to Chattanooga . I know I gotta move on.Well as if this year hasn't been bad enough with my Ipf, husband losing his job, the basement flooding , and then the burglar , I sure hope this is it. We had terrible storms Wednesday and thought we were safe so we went back to our little motel. We pull up in front of our room and it starts to pour and then it starts to hail. The car is starting to rock and we hear a big thud a limb hits the car. I tell my husband lets get out of here . He is just going to start the car when 3 huge Black Oaks fall on top of us. We are so shocked there is glass and tree limbs all over the car but they hit just behind us so the windshield never shattered. The power is out and there is no one their as this is a Mom and Pop live down the road clean but tiny place. We are not hurt not a scratch but scared . We go inside our room and my cell phone worked so I called the sheriff and now some kind neighbors see the car and come to check that we are alright. There are trees down on the road so it will be awhile since it is a volunteer FD.It is around midnight when the police get there and the stars are out . He takes pictures and makes out the report. We think we are going to bed when the next storm hits . I want to crawl in a hole as this motel would be toothpicks if a tree hits it ,but this time nothing happened. I probably got 4 hours of sleep and then we got a look at our car in the daylight .Yikes!! We are lucky to be alive . The car was totaled. So we had to rent a U-haul truck to get home as the closest car rental was 2!/2 hrs away.So that was my exciting vacation. So now we will be looking for another car. I know that God has other plans for me hopefully a cheap good running car.I hope to chat on thursday . I see alot of new people and I will be saying prayer for everyone . I better get to bed now as I have to get up early. IPF 2/07 IL __________________________________________________

Guest guest
, Good grief! This trip sounds like a chapter from a King novel! I'm so thankful that you all are safe. Everything is so much scarier when we are away from home! Better days ahead!
