Wonderful that you got your drain out....I know it is a big relief....what I am having problems with is that roll of flesh where they removed the lymphnodes it's like they took the breast from the front and attached it under the arm....I am doing fine today....I have more up days than I do down....wish I could hold up to work more....I did give a perm yesterday and worked at the funeral home....I am tired today and my arms ach feel as if they are dragging the ground....but that will pass and I'll be ready to go back for more....Huggs Judy G wrote:

Oh .....it bothered me giving a perm before I had this...

I know what you mean. about the arm.mine feels like it belongs to someone else...it is so sore to touch even....and I too have another boob under my arm......I now have 3 of them....

I am seriously thinking of going back and doing nails.....going into someone shop and IF they need a hairdresser.....I wouldn't mind doing it once in awhile.....I am thinking of going and getting some nail supplies..

Im so sorry your arms are dragging......keep it up.......drain it.Im sure we will get fluid there....

I am having the same exact problem. Had my mastectomy on Sept. 2 and

they removed the drain tube on Sept. 14. My " extra breast " under my

left arm has not shrunk down at all and is hard as a rock, with some

hard lumps underneath, I think. It softer on top like there is fluid

there. I talked to a doctor on line who said this could be a seroma,

is common, and is NOT normal and does need attention. You should

probably call your surgeon's office, to probably have it aspirated,

but sometimes it needs another drain tube.

Judy.....Are you planning on doing the acrilic nails....don't know how you are on the fumes but for me they are just devistating....I have to get completly out of the shop when she does them and she has a ionizer going when she does them but I still can't be around it....it is about as bad as being around smoke....can't breath and have to run for the oxygen...or the nebulizer....huggs Judy G wrote:

......did you find out if the burning and numbness ever goes away? The burning from the radial nerve being removed....

Judy Yes the burning goes away or else it did in my case....just within the last couple of months the numbness is going away.....when I touch I can feel the touch and not feel as if something is crawling on me...but everyone is different....the dr ask me if it was a good thing or a bad thing....and i told him definetaly a good thing.... Oh I sure hope so......it is driving me nuts.......I feel chapped, or burned.

Janie this is one that wont go away...mine is soft and I am told that is something that I have to live with...I think I ask some of the longer survivors if they still had thiers and they do....I had my surgery Jan. 11 2001....Huggs janie8002000 wrote: I am having the same exact problem.
