Dear Crew~

First of all, Happy New Year! I've read about 50 of the 500 e-mails I have so far! Who needs to exercise, I just need to read my mail! :-)

I was reading about different tests and beings still.

This past year I had to have a mylegram before surgery. The doctor wanted a better picture then MRI's give, I had to have those too. Anyway... the point is, I was waiting at the hospital and the power went out for a few minutes. When they called me in, I didn't think anything about it. When the techs put the contrast in my spine it was VERY painful, it went all the way to my brain and I was screaming. Of course, they were holding me down so I would be still, and I just wanted to get through the stupid thing. After they injected the dye, they then told me that the Cat Scan machine was down from the power failure. I just looked at the nurse. "NOW YOU TELL ME! YOU PUT ME THROUGH THAT, HOPING THE POWER WOULD BE BACK ON!" I didn't actually yell, but I was very upset. She said, they had hoped it would be back on in time. If they had to inject me again she was going to pu!

t me to sleep, she has never seen someone go through so much pain! It turned out the machine was up in about 20 minutes so I could have the test.

I have to be honest here, even if it didn't hurt, don't you think that was wrong of them to inject me with contrast and then plan to do it again if need be? What could she have been thinking?

Just one of the many horror stories that we crewbies must go through. UGH
