Guest guest
Dear , I hope so too about the blood levels remaining good from here on in. I hear you about the port. I think that is the way Iam gonna go too. My temp came up again last nite along with the chills, headache, backache, just like I had the flu. So I took 3 tylenol and went to bed. I hope I don't get that again tonite. Feel pretty good so far today. I was wondering if any of you get the flu shot when you are on chemo? It said on my papers about taxotere that you cannot get a live vaccine when on this. Does anyone know if that would mean the flu shot? I will have to ask my onco or nurse. I like to get a flu shot every year being that I had pneumonia 2 or 3 times already. Well, take care everyone, God Bless, Love, Sharon > Dear Sharon, > > I'm glad you went for the transfusions...now hopefully your blood levels > will remain good from here on in. > > I had a port put in 2 weeks after my double mastectomy. Guest guest
Sharon the reason was I was in the hospital first with 5 by-pass surgery and was in the hospital 30 days then they gave me a transfusion around my half way stay. Guest guest
Dear , I am feeling much better now. I guess it was the side effects from the blood transfusion. I sure hope I can get a flu shot because I don't want to get the flu on top of everything else going on. Thank you. Guest guest
Dear , yes that helped. It made me understand the problems you had. I sure am sorry to hear about your son. It is nice to have support from your family and friends. My daughter was real supportive at first but now she isn't as much. She has problems of her own tho so maybe that is why. I have to go have blood work done today, a shot of aranesp, and my zometa. Thank you for your help and I hope you get back on your feet soon.
