Just wanted to send everyone very best wishes for a safe, HEALTHY, joyous, and successful new year! Let's all make 2005 our best year yet!

Can you believe I'm sittin' here all alone??! is at a party at church and then will be spending the night with a friend in town. is staying with friends tonight as well. And hubby is keeping "firecracker watch" out at my parents' ranch. They live in town, and he offered to stay the night at the cabin to keep an eye on things. They have a herd of longhorns, mini horses, and a donkey. The donkey survived a gun shot wound this past summer.... Stupid kids and their mischief. Of course, hubby went out there early this evening and hunted... and will hunt in the morning also.

Not too many fireworks out my way tonight. The neighbors south of us shot off a bunch at 11:45 tonight... not sure if their clock was wrong, or if they just got tired of waiting. Didn't hear any go off at midnight. Must be a huge pasture party going on down the road to the north of us.... cars have been speeding by and going on the property about a half-mile down the road all night. They usually stay the whole night and then we see them all leaving to go home in the morning. Wonder where their parents think they are? My kids have to call me from whereever they are... not on their cell phones. That way I can make sure they're where they say they are by the Caller ID. Both have checked in a couple of times tonight. just left the church to go to her friend's house, and let me talk to his friend's mom, who assured me that she wasn't letting any of them leave the house until morning. They're both good kids, but so was I... and I know all the sneaky things I did as a teenager! LOL!

Hope everyone had a safe celebration!

Continuing to Strive in 2005!

Janet
