NEW PT LCD

Dr. Baer,

Why does the new PT LCD effective 08/01/05 still state

that the

patient must see the physician within 60 days of

beginning therapy

and then every 30 days thereafter? This is still

written in the LCD

in section E after the ICD-9 listing. The physician

office visit has

been eliminated by CMS unless the physician reuires it

or the

patient is receiving e-stim for wound care.
