Can anyone better inform me...does medicare stipulate time allotments

for treatments in acute care or LTAC settings? I cannot seem to find

anything except referencial data to inpatient rehab...what about acute

/ LTAC?

It's our understanding that once an order is written, it is at that

point a timeline begins with regard to completion of evals &

established frequency & duration. Our delimma lies in that some

physicians at our facility would rather pull therapists from their

evals/caseloads (thus missing those) from our acute & LTAC settings on

a day to day basis in order to cover inpatient rehab needs...every

department is critically short & we already triage care...what is this

group's opinion?

Specific data / references welcomed as we are still

looking...THANKS!
