Guest guest
Phyllis, A lacto-vegetarian is a vegetarian that eats dairy products such as milk, butter, and cheese but doesn't eat items such as eggs, fish, and meats. Yes I'm very lucky to be alive. I guess it wasn't my time to leave this planet. My wife and 4 kids were also glad I made the decision to get myself checked. This might be a story to tell all those who think they may have high BS but are afraid to get themselves checked. Not checking oneself can only lead to death or severe complications. This doesn't just go away by itself. Regards, Jim > Date: Thu, 24 Jan 2002 00:17:43 -0500 > > Subject: REply to Jim > > I am so impressed with your medical treatment. Guest guest
Yes you are correct. The ovo part means that you eat eggs and the lacto part means eating milk products. If you eat neither than you are vegan. Jim, That's what my sister is... a vegan. I would find that very difficult. Being able to eat milk and dairy products gives a lot more variety. I feel like my sister eats an awful lot of carbs... she'll eat two baked potatoes for a meal. She's concerned about eating any protein because of her kidneys, though.. she's just started dialysis. Guest guest
Well, goldarnit! I'll have to tell my daughter who is now a non-ovo-lacto-vegetarian (and has been for at least ten years!) Guess we're the ones who have it backwards. Vicki << >You've got it exactly backwards, Sandy..an ovo-lacto vegetarian is a >vegetarian who avoids dairy products and eggs, smile.
