Guest guest
Janet, No! No! No! You are not cured, you are 'in remission'. There is a very big difference between 'remission' and 'cured'. Remission means that right now, you are not presenting the symptoms of the illness, which in this case is diabetes. But it can come back or reoccur at any time. So as to not get your hopes up too much and to get people to understand your status, you should refer to it as being 'in remission'. Before I sent this out, I read Ricks post and agree with his assessment. You are a 'well controlled' diabetic and as long as you stay 'well controlled', you should stay in remission. But don't let your guard down. Diabetes is one sneaky beast. Congtatulations are in order! ========= I may not have gotten all the facts, but at approximately 2/1/02 8:34 AM I believe Phyllis is rumored to have said: >Congratulations. I do believe the doctor. You are cured for right now.
