No! No! No! You are not cured, you are 'in remission'. There is a very

big difference between 'remission' and 'cured'. Remission means that

right now, you are not presenting the symptoms of the illness, which in

this case is diabetes. But it can come back or reoccur at any time. So

as to not get your hopes up too much and to get people to understand your

status, you should refer to it as being 'in remission'.

Before I sent this out, I read Ricks post and agree with his assessment.

You are a 'well controlled' diabetic and as long as you stay 'well

controlled', you should stay in remission. But don't let your guard

down. Diabetes is one sneaky beast.

>Congratulations. I do believe the doctor. You are cured for right now.
