Guest guest
I have had a real bad weekend. I need to start fresh tomorrow and try to regain my controll. Is anyone willing to give me some help to get me back on track and stay there. I sure appreciate it and I will try.

Guest guest
There is no " total allowable carb number, " just the lower the better. Bernstein recommends no more than 30 ..for the whole day. That's pretty stringent but it can be done. Most of us modify it somewhat. I eat about 100 carbs per day, sometimes less. The less carbs you eat, the lower your BG will be...(The average American diet, I've read, is somewhere around 300+ a day). It takes time at the beginning but after a while it becomes second nature, so hang in there! Vicki << So..say like for supper, what would my total allowable carbs number be? We can do this together and it sure has always worked well for me anyway to tam up with someone else and get over the bumpy >>

Guest guest
Another interesting thing...the more carbs you eat, the more you crave. This is the " hungry feeling " you have between meals. On the other hand, if you're eating a lowcarb diet, you can add fats back in and it won't hurt you and it'll keep you feeling full between meals too. Be aware though, when you first start lowcarbing, you may have a rough patch for a week or two where your body keeps craving them...but this does disappear. Vicki << I have such a hectic schedule. I run into trouble in those hours between breakfast and lunch with that weak , sinking feeling. F >>

Guest guest
Oh, this is great! A little network. It's always better to have a little support group when trying to get started on any sort of plan. We're here for you, folks, and look forward to your success. We've all been there at one time or another. Go get 'em!
