No matter where we live, no matter who we are, we're all bound by borders....borders that define our lives....some real, some imagined. Many of us are content to live within these borders. Others are forced to. But some of us need to break out, burst through, even if what lies on the other side is both frightening and unknown. -----Original Message-----From: Kathleen Sent: Friday, December 03, 2004 1:48 PMTo: TexasTOPS Subject: Less WhiningRemember how I was so grumpy about my TOPS chapter going under yesterday morning?Well, the passage of a few hours can change one's perspective dramatically! Yesterday afternoon our granddaughter had an emergency at school. She's fine and healthy now, but oh my goodness! Needless to say our whole family is glad she is ok, but we needed to spend some time together as a family last night to rejoice in that fact. I called one of our TOPS members to tell her I wouldn't be able to go to the meeting. Well, guess what? THREE new people who have recently moved here from California showed up and were wanting to join! They had looked us up on the internet.Guess I'll just have to change my tune now, right?Kathleen (doing the happy dance for two reasons!)P.S. Doing the happy dance *does* burn calories, doesn't it?EMAIL SUPPORT TEXAS-STYLE!!Visit us on the web: http://www.texastops.org
