Guest guest Posted September 21, 2004 Report Share Posted September 21, 2004 Hello Everyone: It has been awhile since I have been able to check in and let everyone know how I am doing. As I try my hardest to read all the emails that come daily please know I am praying for each of you. Yes, bc is a hard fight and it doesn't matter how old you are we all have had our personal battles or are helping a love one through this battle. There are days I have a pity party for myself thinking why do I have to keep fighting like I do? Why can't I be like any other 37 year old with lots of energy? Well, I can't answer that at all, all I know is God gives me the strength I need to keep going. For those of you who do not know me I am Ronda and I have been battling breast cancer since I was 33 years old and this last January I had the third reoccurrence and I am still fighting this beast. I have stage IV bc which has spread to the bones and I will not let it win I will keep fighting. That is the quick story, mean while I have had to move in with my parents and I have lost my job do to my health. To tell you the truth I am glad now that I have lost my job because I just couldn't keep up with it all. I have just arrived back home from the doctor which I travel to another state to see because all my medical help is free of charge. I have started another chemotherapy treatment and I will have to have Radiation in another month. Yes, I have seen my challenges but I have had a loving family that has helped me and cheered me on. I am single too and I will make it I am determine. I feel if I can do it anyone can do it please remember that if you put in your head that you will not let this beast win and keep fighting it will be all right. Yes, it is not easy at all it is very challenging some days and others it like you don't even have cancer just remember to keep positive. I have read that some of new members friends have left you I have had that happen to me. So, of it was that they were scared and some of it was that I wouldn't let to many of them get to close to me. This group is a great place to come when you need someone to talk to so come as often as you need to come. I am asking for prayer for my Mother she is having surgery tomorrow at 8:00 AM. The surgeon will be cutting her all the way across her stomach her bladder and other organs have fallen and they are going to attach them to her pelvic bones a very serious surgery. Please DON'T let me offend anyone we believe God will take care of her during this surgery and will guide and direct the surgeons. Also, keep me in your prayers I have to go see a lawyer in October to possibly sue this company that I joined to consolidate my bills. They have changed names and no one seems to what to call me back they have over 3200.00 and haven't paid any of the bills off. My parents paid off one of the bills yesterday to stop me from going to court since I don't have a job at this time and I don't get much money from disability. This debt is my fault some was health related but others was carelessness of using credit cards. My doctor has given me permission to do a part time job I need something to get me out of the house a couple hours a day and yes I know I could lose my disability but I need to feel like my age again. Many of you have worked most of your life and you may know what I mean there is something about working that keeps your mind off of your problems and focus on others. This note is long enough I am sure you can see I am doing all right and today is a good day. Please keep us in your prayers tomorrow and I will let everyone know how the surgery goes she goes in at 8 am and the surgery should be done by Noon if nothing goes wrong. I can't be at the hospital the whole time because I have to care for my 90 year old Grandmother and that is to long for her to sit at the hospital so I am not going until 10 am I want to be their when my Mom come through to see her and here her say I am doing all right. I hope everyone is having a blessed day and know you are in my prayers as you continue to fight bc or whatever cancer you or a family member is battling with on this Day and days to come. They will get their just rewards. hehe Prayers will be going out for your mom. Take it easy, dont get a job that is to much for you.
