I've been taking the bovine adrenal from Nutri-meds for about a year and a half now... It's done wonders for me. I no longer melt into a blubbering ball when I light bulb burns out.. that's how bad I handled stress. It's helped with my sleep patterns. I used to have a lot of trouble falling asleep. I pretty much planned on it taking two hours to fall asleep and that I'd be waking during the night. And if something woke me... it was two hours to fall asleep again. I think that's why the noisy house at night thing I'm dealing with right now bothers so much. After 20 or 25 years of being awake for HOURS after something woke me up, the house has to be quiet before I can relax to go to sleep. Even though, now, with the adrenal and the thyroid that I'm taking, I pretty much just roll over and go back to sleep, I still have this deep fear of that insomnia coming back so I'm weird about it... I have to wait until it's quiet before I'll lay down to sleep.

The Nutri-meds tabs are easy to split. I started out with two quarter tabs and that was too much for me... I got to feeling so good that about 4 weeks later I crashed from physical exhaustion. I felt so good and was sleeping so good that I was over exerting my body and it was just so out of shape from being so hypo for so long that I had muscle failure. It took a couple of months to recover from that. I then restarted the adrenal at 1/4 tab a day. That was February of 2003. I'm now up to 1 1/4 tabs per day. 3/4 tab being taken as soon as I wake, with my first dose of thyroid, and the other 1/2 tab taken about 3 hours later. I then go the other 21 hours a day running on my gland's output.

I follow the theory of supporting/supplementing the adrenals during the morning, when they have the most demand, then letting them work normally the rest of the time. Allowing them to heal and strengthen again rather then putting them on hiatus and hope that they kick in again when I stop the supplements.

I have read that it takes 4 months to 2 years for fatigued adrenals to recover, I'm planning on giving mine the full 2 years and then see how they do.

I'd like to add that the first natural thyroid that I started on was the porcine from Nutri-meds, I was on that for a full year before I got the offer for the Time Caps meds (a friend buys them in Mexico when she visits and then ships them up to me when I can send her money). The Nutri-meds aren't as potent as the generic (Time Caps) but they sure worked wonders for me. Did better on them than I EVER did on synthetics. No exaggeration.

I would also like to add my approval of Nutri+Meds products. I have

used their bovine thyroid before being able to get Armour. I had

excellent luck with it. It seemed to be about 1/4 grain per tablet

just based on how much I needed in my switch from T3 timed release

to Nutri+Meds. I dissolved it sublingualy to get the most out of it.

If ever they cut me off from the foreign pharmacies, I wouldn't

hesistate to use Nutr+Meds.

I have also used their adrenal and it is very good, too. I switched

to IsoCort because I know the dose of hydrocortisone in it. If I had

some idea of what was in the Nutri+Meds, I'd be able to decide which

is a better deal and go with the cheapest. I did have good luck with

the Nutr+Meds adrenal with insomnia. For some reason the IsoCort is

nore likely to stimulate me, where the Nutri+Meds didn't seem to.

I'd not hesitate to go back to Nutri-meds either of foreign sources of prescription grade generics were cut off.... My only reason for stopping them and going to the Mexican was the cost.
