For the rest of us that have to wait a bit, Merry Christmas and I hope Santa has been good to everyone. Hope everybody has a wonderful day! Guest guest
Dear Crew: Happy holidays. Merry Christmas or Happy Hanukkah or whatever your beliefs. Yes, it is a beautiful, blessed time of year. To those of you who face surgeries for sure in the near future, we've all been there and empathize. Truthfully, we are dodging bullets here from day to day as Anne's tumors continue to noticeably grow larger and larger. But I watch her and learn. She enjoys Christmas, the lights, the gifts, the spirit, everything. She is in the moment with this holiday. So I just decided that we must forget for now what is upcoming (not deny) and thoroughly relish the moment. Our little angel, grandson Nico, idolizes Anne while she still has difficulty expressing how thrilled it makes her. He somehow (at 18 months) seems to know her limitations, overlooks them, and just treats her as if there are none. What a joy. He brightens the season for me, especially. I am now his " Grammy " and my husband " papa " and Anne is " Aunt Anne. " He is talking a blue streak and loves music, rhythm and dance. So much fun. I regret that some of you are feeling alone and lonely. I hear your pain because I do miss the large family and the closeness of the past that our family had. But we acquire new " family " in the form of friends. I do relish the Crew and think of you all as family because we share so much. Mike, you must know how treasured you are by the many responses you immediately received. I'd like to add my encouragement and tell you that I'll say a special Christmas Eve prayer for you. A special wish to and brother Jeff, to the Getz family who have just come home (I hope), and to and Karina our new friends from Colorado. We are thinking of you all with love and joy. Buon Natale, Vicki and Anne
