I have several fibroids, and a prolasped uterus. I have been told that

itis a matter of time before I will have to have a hysterectomy. My

doctor said that as long as my uterus is not getting any bigger we

can watch , wait and see. But my stomache is so bloated, and I mean

all the time, he said to get some fiber con, does any one see the

benefit if this? I am regular in my bowels. I wonder if some of the

belly I see is the prolaspe, I worked hard to lose 20 pounds, I am

only a size 4, from the back I look good, buy my front is awful. I

wear baggy shirts to hide it. Please, if any one knows how I can

control this I would really apprecialt it. thanks

I've gotten the same advice. I am in the midst of

struggling to figure out what to do. I do not want an

operation which may affect me for the rest of my life.

However, I don't want what I have for the rest of my life

either! Please everyone who has answered any of my posts -

Please keep doing so and thank you all so very very much.

You have all been there so you know how important it is to

me (us).

As for your question, I've been using Absorb-Aid at every

meal for the past week and a half. It was advised to me to

do this a week and a half ago by a nutritionist. They are

plant derived digestive enzmyes. I eat a little less at

each meal, but then I eat a little more often. I was never

good at losing any weight. However I am at normal weight

for my size.

This has helped on most of these days. of that I am sure.

Also, I do yoga and some exercise every other day. This is

helping to control the bloat while I figure out what to do.

I am a vegan also so I don't eat dairy products, but you

must be really small if you are a size 4. Don't blow your

abdomen out of proportion. Most women have tummies just

naturally. This is not to minimize how you feel. I am

feeling the same way this very minute. How to take control

of my life and get these things from growing. The future is

still cloudy though.

I would also try removing the dairy. I've not cut it out completely, but

changed from cow's milk to rice milk in my morning cereal and it helped me. It

did get rid of some of the bloating, but most of it is related to the fibroids.

It did help with the " full " bloating feeling I was having, which was probably

gas from the milk. I found I can still have other dairy (cheese, ice cream) and

it does not cause the problems milk did. Please note, that I had never had this

problem with dairy prior to having fibroids.

I also found that (pre UAE) the more sit ups I did, the worse bowel problems I

had. About two months pre UAE, I got that nasty flu that went around this year.

I was unable to exercise for at least two weeks. I noticed less bowel problems.

As an experiment, I tried just cutting out the situps after I was feeling better

and the bowel problems decreased a lot.

I am a size 6 and have had to get bigger pants to accomodate the belly. I can

tell you that when I saw my MRI I was shocked that there was any room in my

abdomen at all for my intestines.

Good luck, hope some of this works for you.

I had this problem initially. It was so bad around my period that I

had to go out and get larger pants just for that time but I don't

have that problem anymore. Interesting that you're a vegan because I

both dropped out dairy from my diet and started taking herbs that

tonify the uterus AND a good, gentle herbal for the bowel. I wasn't

sure what made the change, maybe it was all three but now I'm

suspecting its the herbs that concentrated on the bowel.

I also began eating LOTS of fruit and raw vegetables. I haven't had

this problem for a year. My only problem is what to do with those

baggy pants! LOL. Try concentrating on the bowel but don't use any

strong laxatives. Get a formula that you can use over time that is

very gentle. I used FenLB from www.herbsfirst.com.

Good luck!

Holly (ps...I did a long post on here in response to diet questions

and it never showed up:-(...don't know why...hope this shows up!)
