Hi, Phyllis..my house is a mess too. Right now I'm heavily involved in a

creative project - an original design quilted vest -- and when I get into

creative mode everything else goes by the wayside. (Another good example of

being compulsive, smile)...Housekeeping? What's that?

I exercise an hour after breakfast...before I have time to get into whatever

else I'm going to be doing that day. Actually since I get up at 5:30, eat at

6 a.m. I'm still half asleep while I'm exercing, my brain isn't awake yet, so

that's the perfect time to do exercise. And I get the pleasure of listening

to a book on tape at the same time...an hour at the gym or 45 minutes of

mallwalking (every other day)...and I'm wide awake and ready for whatever.

For me, it's best to do exercise first thing in the morning when I'm really

high energy. (obviously I'm a morning person)...Vicki

I hope I can get compulsive about exercise. Come on lets face it there

are alot of things we could get compulsive about that are worse than our

health.

I could just see me and you sitting around all day taking our blood

sugar! (LOL)

Oh by the way, my house is a mess!

<<Hi, Phyllis...being compulsive is actually an advantage when trying to

control diabetes...as my daughter said to me, >>

You have made such a good point. You must live and breath it everyday.

That is why I love the list. No one I know would ever talk to me again

if I talked to them as much as I do to you all. I will tell my daughter

or my husband something someone on the list discovered about diabetes,

that I am so excited about and they will just look at me. (LOL)

I applaud you for exercising in the morning. That is one of my goals to

see if it would work for me. I haven't quite gotten it yet. I still am

going at 4:00pm. But, it is so hard to get there with everything going

on.

I beleive that if you do it first thing in the morning, then excuses

won't get in the way.
