I noticed in the article he metioned he had two kidney stones. Kidney

stones are preventable by eating vegetables. Perhaps there isn't

enough magnesium in the carnivorous diet?

According to the USDA, cooked beef retains 85% of it's magnesium and

85% of it's potassium:

I'm not sure how accurate this is or how it was derived.

I wonder how much magnesium might be lost to phytates in the grains -

assuming that he did not soak them.

I was just wondering how one maintains a proper ph balance when they

are not eating fruits and veggies. Personally I'm not a huge fan of

fruit b/c it's so tasteless nowadays. It's such a pain to take home an

apple time after time and have it be mealy and taste horrible for

example. But at the same time I pay attn to my saliva and urine ph a

lot and the days I feel really sick, they are both acidic or the

urine is more alkaline than the saliva. I'll drink something

alkalizing and feel better almost instantly.

Or if you chop them up so they're unrecognizable, cook them to death,

and eat them in the meat stew, that works.

I hate them also.

Do you eat them fresh? My kids hate canned veggies, which are what I

ate growing up (and I hated them too) but will eat just about anything

out of the garden - peas taste like candy right from the pod, tomatoes

are a whole different thing than what's in the grocery store. Green

beans even are better!
