Hi,

I am new to group and new to thyroid problems. OK, thyroid problems have been around a long time, but like many of you, not diagnosed. I found out last month that I have Hashi's and Hypothyroidism. I have suspected problems for quite some time and basically felt like crap recently.

I have been lurkiing and learning lots from everyone. One thing I am interested in is what kind of diet everyone has? I saw Topper posted about her "mini-meals" throughout the day. Topper, could you post some examples of what you eat? I have about 40pounds I have held onto for the last 4-5 years, and I would like to work on some nutrition. I also joined the thyroid weightloss group to get even more ideas.

Thanks,

Barb C.

Hi, Barb...

It's late, I'm beat and need to go lay down.... but I didnt' want to leave you hanging.... We've got a page set up on the Phoenix site with the basic concept of doing mini-meals... that will get you started with pondering on it tonight....

Shoot me another email (reply to this) and I'll get it in the morning and sketch out a bit about how I set myself up...

We have another site set up where we discuss thyroid metabolism and various ways of eating... we can go over there and dig into this more... that goes for anyone that is curious about what different ways of eating can do to help with weight issues.

The web page that goes over mini-meals: www.thyrophoenix.com/mini-meals.htm

The thyroid metabolism group:

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Overcoming_TD_Metabolism/

It's a closed group.. so you have to get approved to get in....

Topper () *whos just too sore to sit in this chair any more tonight.. I'm gonna go lay in bed with my feet up and watch TV for a while then go to sleep*
