Refresh my memory... Dyslexia is a brain pathway thing the eyes see the words or numbers in one order and the brain receives the information in a different order, usually involving a specific group of letters or numbers?

Is there a pattern to the 'scramble' or is it random?

I have a suspicion/belief that nutrition, which involves eating - the ingestion of nutrients (chemicals) into the body for processing and assimilation - has a lot to do with how our bodies work. Some folks process differently from other folks... and it's those chemical reactions that affect how we function, physically, emotionally and mentally.

The trick is to determine what our individual bodies need us to take in to provide the raw materials that our bodies need to function.....

I find the whole subject absolutely fascinating.

When the brain fogclears I might even remember where that was!

I know that since I have become overtly hypothyroid, my spelling has gone to pieces. I am thinking this is related.

I'm very interested in that also and would like more info on the sbjct. My understanding is that, when it comes to doing work on paper, or driving, for instance, there is a spacial orientation defect, but I don't know from what. For instance, in a group of objects on paper, a person might not be able to pick our similarities among them, find the alike ones, or see something as being upsidedown, sideways, etc.....I'm certainly no expert on this one, but have had all kinds of problems driving to strange places, on acct of these types of problems------can't remember one place in relationship to anothr one, don't see roads and such in time to think "I've got to run here", etc., etc., etc..........I know that it doesn't affect normal intelligence, rather, actually, some of the children like this actually may have accelerated intelligence, it's just that a certain part of the brain is working on "overtime" and is either racing or whatever it is that we'd call it. I'd like a response as to some of the discoveries here also. I've heard about the connection with thyroid disease, but, of course, not proven, but I do believe it myself.
