Guest guest
While I am deaf and watch captioned TV, sometimes I miss some of the commentary, but what bothered me most about the Atkins segment was that they showed plates of eggs, bacon and guys snarfing down steaks and thick burgers. Like thats all you can eat. I missed people eating broccoli, salads and the variety of low glycemic veggies that are available. I think that the overall opinion was that it was not such a bad diet as it was originally made out to be, that research was on-going, but for any one who is a little scared of a high protein diet, their examples would send them running. Too bad, too. Jo in Minnesota

Jo, for the induction part of the Atkins diet, about all they want you to eat is the protein, to stay under 20 grams of carb a day, its hard to get much of any veggies or salads in. induction is only 2weeks or till you get solidly into ketosis, so its not a real dangerously long time.
