Congrats, Clara, on the great loss, especially after the holidays. And, thanks for the recipe. I just love fruit salad. During the summer, we usually have at least 1 meal per week of fat free cottage cheese with fresh fruit.

Clara's Roll Call

Reporting in THANKFULLY with a 3/4# loss, putting me 3/4# over goal, in leeway! I have kept my food chart, drank my water, walked 9 miles, and have contacted my team members.

My short term goal was to CUT OUT ALL SWEETS - - and to accomplish this I took cake to work, sent candy & cake home with grandkids, and froze everything that was left!! The only thing sweet I've had is fat free/sugar free pudding! And IT AIN'T BAD when that's all you are allowing yourself! LOL

And here is my recipe - - - I can use all the extra points I can get!!

Fruit Salad

1 pkg. frozen peaches

2 pkgs. frozen strawberries

1 can pineapple chunk or tidbits (drained)

1 large can mandarin oranges (drained)

2 apples

2 bananas

Mix all together - - and serve plain or with Lite Cool Whip

Well Ms. Clara...I am happy for you on your loss...but I'm very sorry...I cannot say the same my report this will is not good..Stay tuned to see the damages....Sorry Guys!!!!!!

Well - - - another week under the bridge, and I LOST AGAIN!!!! YEAAAAAAAH!!! Not a lot - - 3/4# - - but that put me RIGHT ON GOAL!! So next week I can work on GOING UNDER GOAL!

I think I've done everything I'm supposed to do - -

Drank my water

Kept a menu sheet

Exercised (walked 10 miles)

Sent a favorite website

Reporting by Saturday

Contacted my team members

AND I HAD A LOSS THIS WEEK!!

I think that's it???? Have I forgotten anything???

Had an exciting/unexpected visitor at my chapter tonight - - an Area Captain from Ohio is in town to visit with her son and daughter-in-law for a week, and she and the daughter-in-law came to visit my chapter tonight! We had planned to discuss SRD, but since we had visitors, I did a program instead - - - I always have one or two in reserve, just in case I need them!! So we shared our "Texas" ideas with her, and she is going to send me some "Ohio" stuff when she gets back home - - - so I will share with you guys if there is some good "stuff"!!

We had two new members join tonight - - so it was an exciting night. Thank goodness we had good losses and only 3 small gains; seems like most times we have visitors, we have more gains than losses - - and THAT IS VERY BAD!!! Several years ago one lady got up and walked out after roll call and said, "I think I'm in the wrong place"!!!

Got to call it an early night tonight - - - have to work in the morning!

Nope, Radar, NEVER DISAPPOINTED!!! All of us have those times when we have gains - - - you just have to shake off the bad feelings and get right back on track, doing what you know you are supposed to be doing!! YOU CAN DO THIS!!! Hang in there and don't beat up on yourself too bad!!

WELL, I FINALLY MADE IT "UNDER" GOAL!! Only by 1/2 pound, but that is a start!

I lost 1/2# tonight, so if I can lose 1/2# for the next 11 weeks (that's how many weigh-ins I have before SRD), I should make it to 5# under!!

As for the rest of my contest "requirements" -

I kept my menu sheet

Walked 11 miles

Contacted team mates

I'm sorry to say I didn't do any kind of "different" exercise - walking is my thing!

(I don't own a treadmill or any kind of exercise equipment)

Am reporting in before Saturday - - I will be out of town Friday, Saturday & Sunday -

(Going to San Angelo for SRD work)

I have been in TOPS for a long time - - and have seen many members become KOPS and have crowned a lot of Chapter Queens, but being the recipient of the honor was really special. I am VERY ADAMANT about keeping my KOPS status - - - I think it would just be devastating to lose it after working so hard to achieve it!! I NEVER NEVER WANT TO BE OUT OF LEEWAY!!

Congrats on the turtle, Clara. That's always better than a gain. I have all my exercise equipment set up in front of the tv. Otherwise, I'd be bored silly. The tv helps take my mind off the exercise. Good luck this week - we both need a loss.

Well, I turtled tonight - - still 1/4# over goal! I'VE GOTTA DO BETTER NEXT WEEK!!! But I should feel lucky that I didn't gain, because I haven't walked this week since the weather has been so bad! I don't have a treadmill, so I need to get some workout tapes that I can do when the weather is too cold to walk. THAT'S MY GOAL THIS COMING WEEK - - exercise in front of the TV!!
