Can't say I was surprised at the gain - - - I haven't been all that good this week! But it's back to tuna, chicken, salad and fruit this next week - - I've gotta, gotta, gotta do better!! I have LOVED reading about everybody's losses, the incentives that your chapters are doing, and all of the encouraging words. One thing our chapter does (and Anita Love from #111, Odessa, talked about this at ARD in Lubbock) is "Care Bears". Each week members who want to participate choose a "Care Bear" to call/contact/encourage for that week, and if BOTH OF THEM lose or if KOPS are in Leeway, then both of you get a stamp or sticker for that week. (KOPS cannot partner with KOPS). In our chapter, after you get 10 stamps or stickers on your Care Bear Card, you can turn it in for a charm or a month's free dues. Unfortunately, the grocery stores and WalMarts in Central Tx. carry them, so am often "exposed" to them. In fact, our church is now serving them on Sunday mornings. I'm just glad they are so expensive - my "frugal" side just won't allow me to purchase them. Maybe I need to start paying myself for eating the ones at church - maybe that would make me stop.
