I live in Indiana and Sat and Sun it got up to 95 and then today like

right now it is 43 degrees. This kind of temp change just tears me up

with the coughing. Cough medication just has not helped. Is it better

in a different area of the states like AR or Nevada? I am still new at

this and having a hard time asking dumb questions.

Thanks Cheryl

Hi Cheryl, I think the weather definitely makes a difference. I used to live in a very hot dry and dusty area of California and coughed constantly. Now I live on the coast and the salt air and moderate temperatures has made an enormous improvement in my breathing. I only cough now when it is cold or a sudden temp change. God bless you- Sarcoid/PF 3/2006Cheryl wrote: I live in Indiana and Sat and Sun it got up to 95 and then today like right now it is 43 degrees. This kind of

Cheryl,

I live in Indiana also. The cold air kills me. Last year I found a cold air mask online and it was so much help.

The coughing just wears me out. I feel so exhausted after a bout of it. I hate it most of all at night. I sip water continually. I even take my spillproof bottle to bed with me.

Cheryl. I am here to tell you(as a

former teacher)there is no such thing as a dumb question!!!Especially

when related to gaining knowledge

about your illness. Temperature and humidity changes can really do a

number on you. I get extremely SOB in humidity. I seem to be more

sensitive to temperature change as well. In PA our weather is about the

same as yours...just a few days later!!!!

Try not to be out when the heat and humidity are too high...very cold

and windy weather is difficult too

..

Keep the questions coming...we'll do our best to answer them.
