What size generic armour to order

I think I'm going to order the generic Armour from myrxforless and am wondering if it would work out ok to just order the 2 grain tablets and cut them up. I haven't taken any thyroid meds yet and I know I should start out at a small dose, like 1/2 grain, so of course, I would have to cut them into 4 pieces at first. I'm thinking of doing it this way because for $1.00 more you get twice as much if you order the 2 grain tablets as opposed to the 1 grain tablets. Are there any drawbacks that I'm not thinking of?

Thanks,

Shelli

I'm have the 2 grain tabs and quarter them... I take a 1/2 grain dose 6 times a day... it's what my body seems to do the best on...small doses throughout the day.

I use a single edged razor blade to split my tabs and they split really well for me. I set up pill boxes yesterday and took pics of the stages.. there's a shot of the thyroid pills chopped up into piles of sixes with the daily pill box inserts above.

Oh.. and just to show you that I really do split my vitamins into eights, I took a pick of the stages of that too!

Cut the caplet in half, turn the two halves 90 degrees.

Cut the two halves into halves to leave four quarters.

Lay the quarters on their sides and split, to leave 8 pieces.

I take one piece each time I eat a mini-meal and any that are left over at the end of the day I take with my late night supplements.

At any rate... my pills are all chopped and sorted for the next month. I LOVE my pill boxes!

The pics are added to the photo section on the group home page. Under 'Topper's Pill Paks' - at least I think that's the folder! I included a pic of my 'fancy' decorated pill boxes and a current pile of my current daily pills.

hehehehe
