Guest guest
Sharon, I was given some advice before starting chemo from a European friend who's son had bone cancer at age 22 - she recommended organic carrot juice, no more than 8 ounces, to keep my levels up. Her son had chemo for (6) months and they just couldn't explain his wonderful levels. It can be found, if you don't have a juicer (I don't) at most national supermarkets all over the country, or a natural store. I buy the one w/apple (sweeter). My oncologist cannot believe how fantastic my blood levels have been, even after 4 doses of AC and 2 of Taxol. Yesterday they tested me through my port before chemo and it came back close to "20". I was skeptical in the beginning, but obviously SOMETHING is working - I've met a lot of people during my chemo sessions, all of whom complain either about white count down or anemia. So you're not alone. I'm not hear to sound like some vegetarian preacher - just to pass on a little "advice" that I got before starting my treatment. Wish you the best! Guest guest
Dear Sharon, Yay!!!!!!!! I'm so glad you located a store near you. Try their Passion Fruit/Carrot/Apple (Orange bottle) or 100% Carrot, which isn't as sweet - sometimes I mix them half and half to make it sweeter. Best of luck and hopefully this will help your levels. Love,
