Guest guest Posted March 3, 2005 Report Share Posted March 3, 2005 Need some help and advice. I have PTA that is wanting an increase of pay from $22/hour to $28/hr. She has been offered a position by a Rehab compnay serving a small hospital and nursing home. She has 4 years experience. We are in a rural area in Texas and it is difficult to find staff in our area. My instinct is to let her go, use a contract agency until we can find a permanent PT or PTA. This option will cost more in the long run (typical travel contract being $45-$60 hour), but at least I will not feel like I have been backed into a corner. My CEO will back me either way.
