Well, now I know what you've been talking about. Had my first " gusher "

today. I was hiking in the woods, and every now and then I'd feel this moist

heat just gush out of me. Needless to say, I was a mess when I got home.

Time for a new tactic here.

A homeopath I spoke with wondered if I had had a test for uterine cancer,

apparently something done in the gyn office, in through the cervix and

taking a sample from up there. Anyone have one of those? I guess I'm pain

conscious, but how painful was that???

I finally found an ob/gyn I like but couldn't get an appointment for a month

-- May 4. That seems like a long time to wait in this condition.

A family practitioner also told me that an mri can show whether or not a

fibroid

is actually a malignant tumor.

Would an abdominal or transvaginal ultrasound show a malignant tumor? My

latest episode of the " gushing " came on yesterday while I was sitting at my

table eating dinner. I passed about 8 clots(half-dollar size and larger)

within an 1hr. to 1-1/2hr. with bleeding in between. I am going to see my

Gyn tomorrow and wonder what she will do since I have had the two shots of

Lupron already and she believes that the Lupron is not working for me.

I don't think that homeopath meant that fibroids had anything to do with

uterine/ endometrial cancer. One of the symptoms of uterine cancer is

heavy bleeding, and bleeding in between periods. It would make sense to rule

that out. The test for it is a biopsy done in the gyns office. The gyn will

insert a catheter into the uterus and suction some material off of it to be

tested. It doesn't take long.

Cheryl,

I thought almost by definition that fibroids were benign. We know of the

other side-effects that cause a host of problems, but I hadn't heard of them

being malignant. ???? Besides, isn't uterine cancer different from the

fibroid being malignant?
