Guest guest
> What is an ACE inhibitor? Thanks for the info. **Well, I'm not , Phyllis...at least I don't think so <grin>. However, I did a Google search for " ACE inhibitor " and got this simple definition among tons of other good info:- " ACE Inhibitor A type of drug used to lower blood pressure. Studies indicate that it may also help prevent or slow the progression of kidney disease in people with diabetes. " Barb
Guest guest
Thanks Barb. The endo told me when I took my son-in-law that every diabetic should be on blood pressure meds even if their blood pressure is normal. This was very upsetting to me. I have never had high blood pressure, even though I eat salt by the handfulls. I was shocked. I am trying to now get off all the meds that have almost killed and crippled me, that I find this appalling. I will never take any more meds unless it is life and death for me. Did the drug companies come up with this? There can't be any clinical trials, because no one could measure this over a lifetime. But, this is just my opinion.
