Guest guest
Hi, Peg, Glad you found a doctor to help. So is " Armour website " a password to help you get an appointment or was it not a good thing to mention? I specifically request these tests by name - the lovely ladies here on the list were the ones who suggested them The Free Thyroxine is the Free T4 test, and the Antimicrosomal AB & the Thyroglobulin AB were the antibody tests. Jodi > Thank you for writing that . > Jodi, you are only 2 weeks ahead of me. GP said my thyroid was swollen on Tuesday and with a TSH of 1.05, I was told I did not have a problem. I found a doc that would help and she has this big nutritional practise that doesn't take insurance and the first visit is $300plus, other docs from the Armour website were either not taking new patients or just said so once I mentioned the Armour website! Presto - chango, now I have an appt with an endocronologist that is in my plan. My guess/fear is that I will have to convince the endo to run the other tests. > These test names listed below, is this is what is run when a " full panel " is requested? Isn't there a test for the Free T4? Is one of these tests the " thyroid antibody " test? > I am reading so much I am getting myself all confused! Did you have to ask for each test by name? > Peg > ----- Original Message ----- > From: > The thyroid swelling to make hormone is not normal by > any standards, > ----- Original Message ----- > From: " jlwitz " <cjwitz@m...> > > TSH - 1.27 (0.3 - 5.0) MIU/ML > > Free T3 - 3.32 (1.7 - 3.7) pg/ml > > Free Thyroxine - 1.0 (0.7 - 1.9) NG/DL > > Antimicrosomal AB - 0.23 > > <= 0.90 negative > > 0.91 - 1.09 suggest repeat > > >= 1.10 positive > > Thyroglobulin AB - 0.06 > > <= 0.90 negative > > 0.91 - 1.09 suggest repeat > > >= 1.10 positive > > > > I do have a goiter. Guest guest
Here is there website, the doc information is out of date for the docs in my area. Ihttp://www.armourthyroid.com/ Mentioning the website prompted the doctors I found to tell me that they were not accepting new patients. I called one of those doctors today that said they were not taking any new patients yesterday when I mentioned the website to make an appt get a tetnus shot and they were willing to give me an appt. One doctor told me that her patients listed her there without her permission. I had better luck with 's Top Doc list on ABOUT.com. My appt is Monday and now I have trouble swallowing - so it better stay until Monday so they can catch it. I just found out that my Undergrad transcripts did not make it to the school I applied to for my Master's on time and they only let you start in the fall. The clean up from the fire in my kitchen will finally start on Thursday and I am pretty overloaded feeling that I can't do anything right. So your levels are normal and your thyroid is still enlarged? What did they tell you to do? Just live with it? Have you seen an Endo yet? hang in there Jodi! Peg Re: I'm afraid my thyroid levels are normal Hi, Peg,Glad you found a doctor to help. So is "Armour website" a password to help you get an appointment or was it not a good thing to mention?
