Guest guest
HI, My fibroid situation...ugh...large fibroid sitting on top of uterus, about 10 cm with other little ones in it. Symptoms; a couple of days of heavy bleeding, extreme tenderness near and during period of abdomen, some abdominal pressure when going to bathroom. It has been growing quite a bit lately, I just turned 42, so I have lots of time for it to get bigger before menopause. Dr. says hysterectomy over myomectomy because of bleeding if and when fibriod causes other organ problems, specifically kidney fluid retention. Questions: 1. Do I have to be a hemorraging patient to opt for UAE? 2. Is a myomectomy still preferred over hysterectomy or is she being straight about bleeding problems? 3. What is female reconstructive surgery? 4. Does anyone have a fibroid that is similar in position and size and what are you doing with it? I am afraid someday I will wake up and be forced to make a decision. I'd rather have made some decisions before that time. Thank you all so much.
