insurance nightmare

something dreadful happened to me last week regarding my insurance

and i have been trying to get it taken care of every since. i even

had to wash that grey right outta my hair..........shaddup

last tuesday i got a call from texas children because they were

veryifying my insurance benefits (as they do for every visit) when

cigna tells them on tuesday i have no insurance come friday...3 days

away.

texas children called me and i told them, there must be some mistake,

maybe you spelled my name wrong, used a wrong birthday,

something...so they tried again to verify and got the same response.

i called cigna myself and was told yes my insurance was going to be

terminated in 3 days as a request of my husband's employer. needless

to say i hit the freaking roof like nobody's business.

i dragged my husband's dead ass out of bed after him working all

night chewing him a new butthole for him to look at me with

that " what the hell are you talking about woman " face. he had no clue

what was going on.

i called shell benefits who in turn told me my husband had opted to

no longer cover his family, only himself and myself and the 3 kids

covered were being dropped as well. now chuck is in the background

telling them what a bunch of dumb shits they are and yadda yadda.

i called his human resource dept who told me it would take 5-10 days

to research the problem and get back to me. HELLO! its terminating in

3 days i don't have freaking 10 days for you to sit around with your

thumb up your ass.

i called the plant manager who called someone who called someone who

called someone, i called an attorney, and human resources called

someone and on and on for 24 hours.

so the next day, shell benefits calls and says they got the situation

taken care of but because it is only uploaded from their computer to

cigna's computer once each pay period, my insurance still terminated

and will take another week longer to go back into effect. (now when i

asked what the problem was they weren't at liberty to divulge that

information which in turn tells me " yeah we screwed up and can't

openly admit that to you because we'd look like a bunch of jackasses " )

now in the meantime i have had to cancel eye glass appt's for both

kids, dental for myself and my pulmonary and oncology appt's. apria

was wanting to pick up my oxygen equipment because when they tried to

bill for september it was denied from cigna who doesn't know yet i'm

being reactivated.

i'm not making any new appointments til they say i am showing back up

in their system.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

it has been a NIGHTMARE!
