As soon as I have time to replay that section of the tape. I'd like to share the speech that Patch made to the board that was trying to kick him out of school and stop his becoming a licensed doctor....

This man is amazing... The film was done to promote him and his philosophy of care and, hopefully, to raise money for his hospital. After reading more about him... I hope, if I win the lottery, there will be enough for the clinic that we dream about for thyroid education and care and to help Patch ' Gesundheit Hospital.

that was one of my top 10 movies. i had a real life experience similar to this with a home health dr, - he was one of the great ones that really cared for his pts and got into HH care after retiring from his practice b/c he was so disgusted with how the system worked and he saw that a lot of pts were not getting better and he came across what he thought would help a lot of his pts b/c he used it himself with great success but it was not accepted by medical community so he was shunned and they tried to take away his license so he went to work for himself as medical director for a HH co -- the treatment he thought of as the wonder treatment was called chelation therapy -- whether you have heard of it or believe in it doesn't matter - what mattered was he did and risked his license and medical career for his pts and you don't see that often....he was a one of a kind. i am honored to have been able to work with him as a team. there are good ones but after witnessing the hell they put him through and practically broke him financially i understand now why docs can't go against the establishment. sad but true
