Kathleen,

I have sauerkraut about once a week. Growing up we had it quite often as mom grew a very large garden and we made several jars of kraut. I love it with hot dogs cut up in it but can eat it plain also.

I don't know if their is much difference in brands but I was always told to rinse it if it is in a can. Then add my own water.

I will try that . I know I don't like caraway seeds. Yuck!

Patooey! I can't remember ever having homemade sauerkraut. It

sounds good though. I like crunchy stuff. Anything homemade

nearly always beats canned. I've had sauerkraut in restaurants and

it tastes canned.

I haven't seen it in bags. I just got home from HEB and looked for it in the bags but couldn't find it. Where might they be hiding it at??
