Guest guest
Hi Debra, I had a myo 6 years ago and will go thru another one or a hysto on April 23. My experience was that the first two weeks were the hardest. Each day after that should bring big improvements in the way you feel both in terms of swelling and also in terms of energy. I went back to work about 3.5 weeks after the myo for half days. It took about 6 weeks to feel fairly normal. I travelled to Prague about seven weeks after to myo with no problem. It is a good time to slow down, reflect and smell the flowers! I hope you feel better today! Marcy --- Debra Rosenzweig wrote: > Hi all, > > Am 10 days post myo and slowly slowly getting > better. Guest guest
Thanks Marcy, I am sorry that you have to go through this again. I hope you have another great trip planned for 7 weeks after. Guest guest
HI Marcy!!! I am feeling much better-------when I went to the doc at 2 weeks he said I could start doing things as I can tolerate----I have been driving for about a week---not long trips--maybe 30 minutes in total for a day. I may return to work next week for about 3 days to see how it goes-----I have an hour trip to and from work. I feel better this time afterwards than the first time----and this was abdominal incision and blood transfusions!!! I am taking iron twice a day and also potassium because it was low when I was in the hospital. The good news is that I am not going to the bathroom as much. Even though 3 big fibroids were taken out that were pressing on my bladder, I have many small ones in the lining of the uterus----my doc said that UAE or a hysterctomy may have to be considered down the line. I am 34 and would like to have a baby-----we have never really tried before---my husband in the last 4 years has had his own medical issues to deal with--so we have never been in sync!!! Good luck to you---Deanna
