--- Jeana! Is it helping you more to go to a gtoup weight loss

program? There are several of us at work starting the South Beach. I

had started it a couple months ago and then slid for a while. I still

watced the carbs ....but didn't follow it strickly. I had lost 12

pounds and at least I haven't gained back. Got some herbs to boost

the liver and thyroid. Had read that tamoxifen causes a sluggish

liver. Thought since I got off would try to jump start things.

Yea I think it helps, but I have been slidding for a while to. It is hard to lose weight in the summer with all the fruit and veggies, and picnic's potlucks, you know how it goes. lol

Today was a family reunion and Kens aunt makes a to die for apple pie. Well I HAD to have some.

-The summer is filled with so much going on it's hard for me also.

Yep! Sometimes I think the only way I'm going to lose is to be left

on a dessert Island where all I can have is fish and seafoods! LOL! I

should eat more fish. But I really don't care for it. I am going to

try some of the recipes in my South Beach cookbook for it. Maybe it

will taste better? They have a Vegetable Quiche cup in there that is

quite tasty.

1 Package of drained frozen chopped spinach

3/4 cup egg substitute

3/4 cup reduced fat shredded cheese

1/4 cup chopped onion

1/4 cup chopped bell pepper ( optional)

3 dropps of hot-pepper sauce (optional)

Spray pam in a 12 cup muffin pan Mix all ingredients devide evenly

into muffin pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes ar until you can

insert a knife into center and it's clean.

--- Congrats Elaine! South Beach isn't really all high protien like

Atkins. They do allow good carbs. I have been studyng it this week-

end and it allows a lot more fruit and vegetables than atkins. It is

strict the first two weeks and then eases more and more foods back

into your diet.
