Community Resource Foundation proposes to organize a workshop on sensitive news

reporting on HIV/AIDS.

The objective of the workshop is to shift the tide of the epidemic by building

the capacity of the media to play a critical leadership role in the state

response to HIV/AIDS. The one day workshop is

organized to create innovative media work, sensitize on the importance on

sensitive and ethical reporting on HIV/AIDS, to play an effective role by

creating an enabling environment for the media to reverse the epidemic.

The quality and ability of addressing the HIV/AIDS epidemic is also the quality

of tough journalism. This workshop will be attended by

Journalist from print media, electronic media, trainers from the training

institutions, Community need practioners and broad casters and presenters.

Under the guidance of Resource person the media personal will be provided a

orientation into the concept and techniques of production of various material

and enhance the reporting of different aspects of HIV/AIDS and frame guidelines

for this purpose particularly with a new to further supervise production which

is state specific, culture specific, e-learning, tools and eventual networking

and

exchange.
