Guest guest
Thought I'd post this just in case anybody's interested. Prior to Feb 10th was on 125 Synthroid. 02/10/04 Started out on 60mg armour. Old doc would not let me raise it. Found new doc with interest in Thyroid b/c of family history. Beg March 2004 went to 75mg around the first of March. End Mar 2004Created this list the end of March: Since starting Armour on Feb 10th, .... ....I am off cholesterol medication. ....I have avoided the high blood pressure meds doc wanted to prescribe. ....I no longer need allergy medications. ....I have more energy. …There are no more hypoglycemic symptoms ....I no longer take melatonin to rest at night. ....Arthritic/fibro aches and pains are practically gone. …Occasional puffiness in hands hasn’t reappeared ....I am no longer having problems with dry skin. ....I have my hair growing thicker. …My hair is not as coarse. ....A flatulence problem has practically disappeared. ....I seldom need an afternoon nap. ....Snoring has ceased. ....I can stay awake in church. ....Tremendously missed libido is returning. I still have problems with … Some swelling and puffiness around calves and ankles … Plantar fasciatis still pretty bad. … Energy, although I am improved to the point that I don’t absolutely have to have naps and I’m not falling asleep at the wheel. … Blood pressure which is erratic and on the high side First of April 2004: Went to 90mg the first of April 05/27/04: Endo said he wanted me to reduce to 60mg b/c TSH was at .234. FT4 and FT3 was in the bottom third of the range. He said too much will cause same symptoms as too little. Above list still applicable. 07/05/04 I have not had any major setbacks with the reduction ot 60/90, but things just aren't as well as they could be. There was still room for improvement before and certainly is now. I am returning to my 90mg every day now and making an appointment with Dr. Milton in Cumming GA. Will see the endo no more . Above list still applicable.
Guest guest
Debbie, By my way of thinking.. you've seen great improvements, but still have some things that need improvement.. unless your frees are too high.. a TSH of .234, with symptoms still remaining, is not cause to reduce the dosage. Lets see what the next labs show.. tell them you also need the Frees to see where you're really at.... Topper () Thought I'd post this just in case anybody's interested.
